Our customer is a growing logistics service provider which offers the complete range of services to support their customers’ supply chain, from road, air&sea to solutions. For the Solutions department, we’re looking for a Director of Business Development. The solutions department provides a broad range of services like Inbound & Outbound Logistics, Values Added Services, Transport Management, Reverse Logistics and Omni Channel Fulfillment. They obtain > 60 facilities with > 12 million square feet of warehouse space and > 3,000 employees in North America (and even more in the rest of the world). You will travel up to 40% of the time to client locations and attend regional and/or global meetings.
As Director Business Development you will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle. You develop and strengthen relationships and act as a business partner by adding value to and optimizing the customer’s supply chain. The industry focus is currently on Consumer Products Solutions (Apparel, Food, Fashion, DIY, Electronics etc). They also provide services to the automotive and other (industrial) industries. You report to the VP Business Development Americas and work closely with your business development colleagues with the support of solution and implementation engineers, legal and sales support. You also have frequent contact with local teams and international colleagues.
Preferable location is Atlanta, New York, Dallas or Chicago.
