Mariëlle Wester is senior Executive Search and Recruitment Consultant and joined the Inspired team in February 2015. Mariëlle successfully has created multiple sustainable matches, being involved in various assignments ranging from young professional, mid-career to executive level, for both permanent and interim positions. Mariëlle really enjoys in-depth conversations and exchanging knowledge which makes her an extremely pleasant networker and which has helped her to establish a solid network within the (international) logistics and supply chain industry.
Mariëlle has a genuine interest in people and loves to understand organizational processes and the human influence within these processes. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, she strongly believes that you can create opportunities if you pursue them. Ever optimistic, Mariëlle is always seeking opportunities and is creative in the ways she helps clients and candidates to find solutions. This also helps her to form a sophisticated understanding of organisations and their people, which leads to meeting their needs with the perfect match.
Experience and qualifications
During an internship at a full HR service provider, Mariëlle came in contact with diverse aspects of the HR spectrum such as recruitment, consultancy, training, coaching and assessments. After graduation, she worked as graduation coach in which she supervised students with a study delay. She also briefly worked at a large recruitment and payroll company where she supervised outplacement candidates before joining Inspired-Group.
Mariëlle holds a Master’s degree in Labour and Organisational Psychology, which investigates the behaviour of people at work. She has dealt with topics like organisational change; leadership; work motivation and stressors; person-organisational fit; assessments; conflict, cooperation and decision making processes; behavioural and communication styles and the influence of body language and optimism.
Mariëlle is intrigued by the world of logistics and supply chain and obtains an APICS CPIM certificate. She is trained to identify the functional skills, soft skills and characteristics that lead to a better fit between candidates and clients. From this solid knowledge base, Mariëlle is well-equipped to analyse, solve and advise on both client and candidate challenges, always keeping the personal and cultural fit in mind. She is a rising star in our organisation.
Activities and other interests
Mariëlle regularly visits companies and attends conferences and workshops that are related to logistics and supply chain, recruitment, innovations, marketing, psychology, serious gaming and gamification. Further, she likes theater and cabaret, dancing, (extreme) sports, creative projects, the company of good friends and riding her motorbike.
